Parents and Teens Bond at Veyo

What did we do at the event?

Our inaugural BridgeCamp event of the year at Veyo Pools in Southern Utah was both enjoyable and profoundly impactful. Parents and teens participated in a series of guided activities, including climbing, cold water plunges, swimming, and engaging conversations, all designed to foster deeper connections. The stunning surroundings of Veyo Pools provided the perfect backdrop for these experiences, offering both a serene and adventurous environment.

Throughout the camp, we witnessed remarkable transformations as parent-teen pairs overcame fears and challenges together. From the thrill of climbing to the refreshing shock of the cold water plunge, each activity was an opportunity to build trust and resilience. Participants also got their hands dirty through service projects, reinforcing the values of empathy and teamwork. These shared experiences paved the way for meaningful conversations, enhancing communication skills and understanding between parents and their teens.

The Veyo staff’s dedication and professionalism were evident in every aspect of the camp, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for all. Despite the slightly hot weather, the shaded facilities, pool, and river provided much-needed relief and comfort. The natural beauty of Veyo Pools, combined with its well-maintained amenities, made it an ideal location for our camp.

Reflecting on our first camp of the year, and our first event at Veyo Pools, we couldn’t be more pleased with the outcomes. The positive feedback from participants highlighted the success of our program in creating memorable and transformative experiences. We are grateful for the opportunity to host such a meaningful event and look forward to many more successful camps in the future.
